Zion Sky Lounge & Dining is a rooftop that works as both a restaurant and a lounge, fourteen floors above Ham Nghi Boulevard (number 87A) in the heart of District 1. Regulars call it Zion, Zion Sky Lounge or Zion Saigon — all the same home above the city.

The tagline, “Where Spring Feels Like Home”, sums up the mood well: elegant but warm, not a loud party from start to finish. A navy sky, amber lighting, tropical palms and a panoramic view of Saigon make it a genuinely relaxing place to spend the evening.

Zion opens 16:00 – 03:00 daily and holds around 300 guests. Dinner starts in the early evening and the lounge atmosphere runs until late, so you can stay from daylight right through to when the music peaks.

The crowd is varied: couples on a date, friends celebrating birthdays, business people hosting partners, international visitors to Saigon and familiar faces from the entertainment world. What they share is a search for somewhere polished enough for dinner and lively enough to stay on afterwards.

Indoors is a black-ceilinged room hung with three crystal chandeliers, lined with large glass walls looking out at the surrounding towers. Cream sofas rise in tiers towards the back like a grandstand, so every table faces the centre; in front sit round black stone tables on bright metal cone bases.

Step outside onto the open-air terrace, with a brushed-metal counter carrying a glowing ZION sign, a curved metal canopy overhead, speakers hung beneath it and potted palms along the railing. This is where you feel the breeze and see the city best, especially as the sky turns at sunset.

Zion's most recognisable detail is its round metal frames edged with light, set among the palms by the railing. They echo the circle in the brand's monogram, and each one frames a slice of Saigon's skyline as it lights up.

Over the liveliest area, the ceiling is made of rippled bronze-gold metal sheets that catch the light, hung with crystal chandeliers and lotus-leaf lamps. Once night falls, that whole ceiling glows like a huge mirror, throwing warm gold light down onto the crowd.

If you are coming for the view, aim for dusk — roughly 17:30 to 19:00 — when the sky changes colour and the city switches on; to get a table by the railing, arrive about half an hour before sunset. That window fills fastest, along with Friday and Saturday nights.

After dinner the mood slides into lounge mode: the music picks up, groups get to their feet and the area beneath the metal canopy turns into a busy dance floor. If you want a quiet conversation, come early; if you want a party, stay late.

The music at Zion spans five styles — Top 40, EDM, House, Hip-hop and Techno — shifting as the night goes on. Resident and guest DJs take turns at the booth beneath the golden metal ceiling, right beside the crowd.

Zion also has live performance: Vietnamese singers and guest artists every week, and on some nights a percussionist playing congas live, adding an acoustic layer between the electronic tracks.

Alongside the usual nightly rhythm, Zion runs three regular programmes:

Zion offers five types of seating, named as on the table price list on the menu page:

Note that the two sofa types are split by day of the week, so pick the right one for the night you go. The minimum spend for each type is listed on the menu page, excluding VAT and service charge.

Zion's kitchen leans towards Asian fusion with a refined dining touch. Both the VIP area packages and the open-air city-view packages come with a signature dish, so groups on the sofas get real food rather than just nibbles.

From 22:00, Zion serves a late-night menu of more than twenty dishes: Miyagi oysters from Japan, Tajima Wagyu steak, cured smoked salmon, charred octopus, Korean-style chicken wings, crispy shrimp, daily cheese and cold-cut boards, and a seasonal fruit platter. If you want the best skyline position or are coming as a large group at the weekend, book a few days ahead.

Ham Nghi is the boulevard running from the Ben Thanh Market area towards the river, so it is easy to find; Bui Vien street and Ben Thanh metro station are only a few minutes away. In the building lobby, take the lift straight up to the 14th floor.

Zion has covered (paid) parking with security cameras. If you leave late, Zion can arrange a driver to take you home in your own car when needed.

Zion's dress code is Smart Elegant — refined and polished. Avoid flip-flops and sportswear; a sharp outfit also looks better in photos against the skyline.

Zion serves guests aged 18 and over only, so bring an ID. As it is an open-air rooftop, a light extra layer helps on windy evenings.

Zion hosts birthdays, private parties, company events and bachelor or bachelorette nights. The VIP Sofa and Premium Sofa areas are private spaces with a skyline view and dedicated service, ideal when an occasion calls for a little privacy.
